* These camps will be held at Mountain View High School (3535 Truman Avenue, Mountain View, CA 94040)
The 9th Grade and Younger camps are designed for middle school players and for players entering their first year of high school in August. There will be up to 3 courts available, so we can accomodate varying skill levels. Players can be beginners, as long as they want to learn advanced volleyball techniques. We are hoping to get one court of boys filled and two courts of girls. You can sign up for just the morning session or just the afternoon session, or both. In the morning we will work mostly on net-play: how to attack with power and control, off-speed shots, offensive strategy, blocking, defensive eye-sequence, and more. In the afternoon session we will focus on defensive play: forearm and overhead passing, emergency defensive moves, defensive eye-sequence, how to read and anticipate. In both morning and afternoon sessions we will have serving and passing integrated, as these are essential skills.

The High School Tryout Prep camps are designed for players that want to get some gamelike reps and technical advice to prepare for high school tryouts. Some very advanced middle schoolers may also find a good fit in this camp. We are hoping to have one group that will be trying out for varsity, and one group that will be trying out for JV. Instruction will be tailored to the level of players in attendance and the specific skills players need to cover. In both morning and afternoon sessions we will have serving and passing integrated, as these are essential skills.
